Patti O’Berry is the founder and Executive Director of Hands of a Friend (Manos Amigas) Inc., DaZee'S and DaZee'S Too resale boutiques (vehicle for generating revenue for the foundation and shelter) and Genesis House domestic violence/sexual assault/human trafficking shelter in the Green Valley, Sahuarita area of Arizona. Patti has over 15 years non-profit foundation related work. Patti was appointed by the President of the Senate to the State of Arizona Domestic Relation Committee 2008-Present. She is also a member of the Southern Pima County Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board, Battered Immigrant Women's Board, Santa Cruz County Response Team and is the past Legislative District 30 Chairman State of Arizona. Patti was on the leading edge in the late 70's as an advocate for interfamilial child sexual assault victims. She is certified in Vocational Instruction, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, Recognition, Theory & Investigation.
Vice Chairman: Sharon Sikora
After surviving her drunk driving crash in 1981 Sharon Sikora became the Arizona co-founder of Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 1982. She has been recognized as a leading force in Arizona for reshaping the attitude toward drunk driving. She has served as the Maricopa County MADD President, Arizona Chair of the MADD Board, National Vice President and National board member. Among her accomplishments she has organized and implemented programs including: Project Graduation, Poster Essay Contest, Victim Services, leadership conferences, volunteer recruitment and training, courtroom monitoring and speakers bureaus. She was instrumental in Arizona DUI and Victims legislation. Sharon founded Arizona Students Against Destructive Decisions and is currently a National Board member. She is the Vice President of the Foundation for Burns and Trauma and was instrumental in Camp Courage which is a burn camp for kids.
Secretary: Monalou Callery
Monalou Callery has worked for 25 years in domestic violence programs, rape crisis centers, the governors’ offices in Arizona and Massachusetts, and programs in Texas and Florida. In Arizona, she founded a nonprofit agency, the National Advocacy & Training Network, to provide training and technical assistance to all service providers working with at-risk populations, and the Support, Education, Empowerment & Directions (SEEDs), which helps women who have been physically and sexually abused, but who would not be eligible for traditional shelters because of drug and alcohol dependency. Most recently Monalou was hired as the assistant director for the new Diane Halle Center for Family Justice at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
